"Honningsvag Laundry" was originally photographed in 1984 during a cruise to The Land of The Midnight Sun in Northern Norway. I recently worked with it in post processing to bring out the appeal I felt at the moment of exposure.
I often walk this path along nearby Emigrant Lake and really enjoy the subtle changes from on stroll to the next. A couple weeks ago there were no wild daisies along the path -- the were higher on the hill.
My interest in edible and medicinal herbs has let me to Yarrow. Yarrow has an impressive list of medicinal properties, not the least of which is the ability to induce sweating to reduce fever. This is a more colorful variety. Usually Yarrow is white or yellow.
Right before the season's first snowfall reached The Rogue Valley floor a few days ago, I found this grove of lightly coated trees at an elevation of 5000 feet, about 10 miles east of Ashland in the Cascades.
