Majestic Oak

Ever since moving to Southern Oregon, I've been admiring a wonderful stretch of oak trees along I-5 between Redding and Red Bluff, CA. Many are refreshingly isolated, allowing their full essence to stand out.

Winter Design

Though we've had a few beautiful hoarfrosts in parts of the Rogue Valley, we have yet to see snow on the valley floor this winter, and I'm beginning to doubt that we will with the warmer temperatures of late. In the higher elevations, where "Winter Graphic" was taken, I've seen snow, though a lot less than normal.

On Golden Pond

No, this pond is not in New Hampshire. I was in Golden, Oregon, a ghost town, with Darlene Lyon Kruse when we discovered a pond across the street. In the summer we'll be leading two photo workshops and were scouting out Golden as a possible location.

Pacific Madrones

Sometimes Pacific Madrones are referred to as the other West Coast Redwood(s) due to the color of their bark. This image of Madrones was taken above Talent, Oregon on Wagner Creek Road.
